Why do lips become dry?

how do you stop it from peeling? Why do lips become dry?
lips generally get dry when we lick or wipe it with our tongue.tongue has got some chemicals that absorb the moisture from the lips.that's why it gets dry and dry surfaces always have a tendency of peeling.thus to stop peeling-

1)stop licking the lips

2)apply some oily substance like-moisturizers or cream. Why do lips become dry?
YOU NEED TO USE A LIP MOISTURIZER. SUCH AS BLISTEX ANY KIND OF LIP GLOSS. WHEN YOU PUT ON LIP STICK YOU NEED TO PUT IT ON UNDERNEATH THEN PLACE A LIP GLOSS ON TOP TO MAKE IT LAST LONGER AND STAY MOIST.
BECAUSE OF MOISTURE
My doctor says it's just because of lack of water in your body. So just take 6 to 8 (or more) glasses of water everyday, not at once but little by little. And take notice that you don't drink too much coffee and tea. They are not the same as water.

And don't lick your lips.
thin skin that regenerates quickly. use a toothbrush to exfoliate.
Lips, are generally kept moist as it cannot replenish the moisture by itself (bcos it doesnt have the complex system like skin).

During winter, this moisture evaporate, thus robbing the little moisture on the surface of the lips.

So thats why you have to apply a lip balm/petroleum jelly to replenish its moisture.

Check out the link.
Because your nose runs and your toes smell thats why.
