Can you get a a cold sore if you share drinks with someone who has burning lips?

i took a sip out of a bottle of my friends and before it she said she had burning lips does it mean she has HerpesCan you get a a cold sore if you share drinks with someone who has burning lips?
cold sores are the same thing as herpes. if she had symptoms of an outbreak at the time or an outbreak then u could get oral herpes. they are very contagious if there is one visable so it would be easy to pass on. keep note of any symptoms like dry skin, itching, burning, tingeling all at one spot around your mouth when u get a sore then u would know that u have herpes.

u can get them even if they are having symptoms or no outbreak but chances are not as high as when there is an outbreak. Can you get a a cold sore if you share drinks with someone who has burning lips?
Yes. Herpes is absurdly easy to catch.

Burning lips doesn't have to mean herpes though.

And to add to the answer above which is potentially misleading - while the coldsore virus is not the same as the genital version of herpes, the oral version can infect you genitally and the genital version can infect you orally.
If she had a coldsore at the time, then yes, you can get it from doing that.

Coldsores are part of the herpes virus, but not the genital herpes virus, so yes, if she meant coldsores, then herpes.
