What is good to treat dry, cracked lips?

Cracked lips can be caused by many factors such as cold weather, dehydration etc.





Make sure if you are using a lip gloss or lipstick that it doesn't dry your lips out. I have very sensitive lips and can only use moisturising glosses and lipsticks.





Make sure you drink plenty of water!!!





Vaseline is the cheapest way (and the best in my personal opinion) to keep your lips smooth. TIP - Get an old toothbrush, apply some vaseline to your lips and LIGHTLY brush your lips using the toothbrush. This should get rid of any dry skin.





Try not to lick your lips! Saliva has enzymes which help break down and digest food, and can really irritate your lips. Also if you keep wetting them, and are out in the cold air it will cause your lips to crack further.





If you keep a pot of vaseline on you, when you feel tempted to lick your lips or wet them, just apply some vaseline on instead.What is good to treat dry, cracked lips?
I developed severely chapped and dry lips. I discovered a combination of blistex medicated lip ointment spf15 and vaseline to be the best in term of pain relief, moisturizing and promotion of healing. I use this day and night and my lips are slowly but surely coming back to normal.What is good to treat dry, cracked lips?
dont breathe using your mouth. the wind constantly passing your lips is what makes them dry and cracked.


i find lip balm always works if you put it on quite thick.


for a really fast effect, just dunk your mouth in some water and it will absorb some of it. the only problem with this method is that after about 10mins, its gone back to dry.
It sounds strange- but vaseline. Put some on your lips before you go to bed at night, and you'll wake up with softer, smoother lips, since it has all night to sink in.


Don't ingest it though, just put a light layer on your lips.
I usually put Vaseline on my lips at night, and then in the morning when I'm brushing my teeth, I'll gently brush my lips too.





Not only does the Vaseline help with the dry, hard, cracked skin... but brushing them in the morning (after it's had all night to soak in) leaves them super soft! :)





During the day, I'd suggest some kind of unscented lip balm. The less amount of ingrediants, the better. My favorite right now is Chap Stick 100% Naturals Lip Butter.

do this daily wet your lips then brush your lips with a none used tooth brush then apply vaseline to your lips aand contine you to brush do not wipe off let it dry!!!!!!!!!

Do you believe something that is not available in any pharmacy shop in the world .... it is called 'Phantom's saliva'.
Use Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm. It works sooo well and has a nice minty flavour to it.
Use a lip balm or vaseline (petroleum jelly)
Blistex Lip Medex! doesn't cost much money and works really well and fast!
Vaseline. Or LUSH do a really good range in lip balms.
