Will smoking discolour my lips?

I'm a light smoker in the twenties. Will it darken my lips from tar?Will smoking discolour my lips?

i dont know about the lips. but it will darken your lungs for sure .. which is much worse.
Discoloration of your lips will be the least of your problems....
quit. smoke marijuana, ideally through a bong or other water filtration device. i encourage cig smokers especially bc marijuana does preveny/fight cancer IF you filter the smoke properly. al the hype is just to jsutify keeping it illegal, bc if it were legal, the gov couldnt make any money. why? bc its easy to grow, we all be frowing our own. but they have a nice grip on alcohol and tobacco, those other drugs, the ones that are ok. if you arent going to quit, at least pick up pot. but seriously, save yourself a lot of money and quit now. i know it looks col and all but why throw away 6 bucks a pack for a few years? its stupid. oh btw marijuana isnt addictive and its never killed anyone. alcohol and tobacco kill more people than anything in history. end of rant
No, but i think you should try to quit because your going to have gross, ugly, nasty, back,(well you get the picture) teeth! and no girls are gonna like that! So if you wanna live a lonely life then go ahead and smoke away!
I have known lots of smokers who have smoked a long time, and I have NEVER known any to have discolored lips.





Be aware, though, that any question you ask on YA relating to ';Will smoking cause ____?';, people will always say ';Yes';. They will tell you that smoking causes athlete's foot and yeast infections if you ask!
no... but it will give you lung cancer. theres no good reason for smoking.. why do it?

OMG people don't be lecturing her about how bad cigarettes are for you. She can do whatever the hell she wants to do. She asked a question and stick to it. As for your question, no smoking wont discolor your lips. I'm 22 and i smoke too.

'kill your television' is a moron. Smoking marijuana does much more harmful things to your body than cigarettes do. (I'm not just one of those anti-drug people. I smoke weed on occasion. Just get the facts straight.)





But, on the smoking thing... it all depends on the person I guess. Depends how light you smoke. Personally, I smoke maybe a pack a month. Then I take long breaks in between months. I've been smoking for about a year... last time I was at the dentist, my teeth were perfectly healthy. You don't see as much lip discoloration with smokers as teeth discoloration - so perhaps use an overnight teeth whitening gel (get a reccomendation from your dentist to make sure it won't murder the enamel on your teeth.) But everyone else is right - that's the least of your problems with smoking.
