How do you get the microphones working on the xbox 360 game lips?

Hold the button in at the bottom for a couple of seconds until it starts flashin alot..they need batteries to work aswell..then once u pick a song shake the mics to start and ul hear like a tambourine when they're workin..hope i helped. x
